Panther Prowl 2026

The 2026 Panther Prowl will be held on  Friday, September 18th. We raised over $30,000 last year. This year our goal is to raise $35,000 for our students and school!

This fun run is Patterson's signature fundraiser, with donations going to support school improvement projects, PTA programming, teacher classroom grants and school wide activities & experiences that benefit our students and school community.

Q: Can I watch my student run in the Panther Prowl?

A: Yes, parents/guardians and family members are welcome to watch the students run on Friday, September 18th

Q: How can I help with the Panther Prowl?

A: Sign up to volunteer the day of the event at the Panther Prowl SignUpGenius page. SignUpGenius is the platform we use to manage volunteer sign ups. Please enter your name and contact information for any time slots/activities you are committing to, and the platform will send you automated reminders.

Q: Is the PTA a non-profit organization?

A: Yes, the Patterson Elementary PTA is a 501(c)3 organization

Q: What color should my kid wear on race day?

Q: What time will my kid be racing? 

A: The schedule will be sent out a week before the race but all races take place in the morning before lunch. 

Q: What school improvement projects has Panther Prowl supported in the past?

A: In past years this has included updating the emergency supplies, creating the maker space and outdoor improvements like the kinder shed and soccer field.

Q: How much of my donation goes to the PTA/school?

A: Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, over 95% of your donation goes directly to the school. The remaining less than 5% is split between credit card fees and fundraising platform fees.

Q: What is company match and how can it help?

A: Some companies have matched giving programs/platforms (e.g. Benevity) which double your donation. Please contact your company's HR to determine if they participate in matching. If you’d like your match to appear on your child's account, send a receipt of the match to info@pattersonpta.org.

Q: Can I contribute via Benevity instead of the event platform (Cheddar Up)?

A: Yes. Please note in the "comments for cause" or similiar section with text such as "Panther Prowl - Student Name - Teacher Name." This will help the PTA understand who the donation should be attributed to. Send us a screenshot or email confirmation at info@pattersonpta.org and we will record the donation on the student's page.
